Kilgariff Estate Gains Momentum

The Land Development Corporation has announced BMD Urban Pty Ltd, as the successful tenderer to complete the subdivision civil construction works for Stage 2 of Kilgariff Estate. Works include excavation and fill, infrastructure servicing, drainage and road construction to support the development of residential lots and public open space.

Northern Territory Government will contribute $4.1 million towards the development of Kilgariff Estate Stage 2, to ensure an ongoing supply of residential land to the Alice Springs market.

BMD Urban has been operating in the Territory for 24 years and subdivision works are forecast to generate 29 jobs and support local sub-contractors and suppliers.

Kilgariff Estate is located nine kilometres south of the Alice Springs CBD and provides land for future residents, including first home buyers.

Kilgariff Estate Stage 2 will provide over 88 new residential lots with the first release being 52 lots, providing land availability and extending building opportunities for the Alice Springs community.

LDC understands that around 390 local Territory jobs will be generated from subdivision construction and house building activity during the development of Stage 2A.

The civil works for the project will commence in June 2021 and is set to be completed around December 2021.
